Jeremy is passionate about conserving and enhancing natural values within the urban environment. As an urban forester, he does this by assisting communities to develop their capacity for urban forest stewardship and integrate this capacity with the other areas of community planning and development. As a Consulting Arborist, Jeremy assists his commercial clients to design and nestle attractive, sustainable and profitable developments within the urban forest.
As a charter member of the Capital Region’s Urban Forest Stewardship Initiative, the BC Council of Urban Foresters and the Canadian Urban Forest Network, Jeremy has pioneered efforts to raise the profile of urban forest planning within BC and across Canada. A recognized expert in his field, Jeremy contributed to the development of Canada’s first National Urban Forest Strategy. Together with his associate, Judith Cullington, Jeremy has co-authored numerous guides and articles on the topic of Sustainable Urban Forest Planning for both government and non-governmental organizations.
